Flexx Handlebar Crossbars Explained
Add a new damper? Remove one or install a sub-mount? Read on to learn what you need when replacing your Flexx Handlebar crossbar.
Straight Crossbars are for applications that are not running an over the bar steer stabilizer.
Damper Crossbars are for when using an over the bar steering stabilizer.
Gen 1: The Gen 1 was FasstCo.’s first iteration of the Flexx Bar. Manufactured from January 2002 through December 2009. This bar has been discontinued and except replacment elastomers, Gen 1 parts are no longer available.
Here is an example of Gen 1 Bar grid:
Gen 2: The Gen 2 was made from January 2010 to March 2014.
Here is an example of a Gen 2 Bar grid, the biggest indicator being “With FB Technology”:
Gen 3: The Gen 3 bar was made from April 2014 through July of 2022.
Here is an example of a Gen 3 Bar grid, the biggest indicator being “With FB3 Technology”:
Gen 4: The Gen 4 bar is FasstCo.’s current bar, starting August 2022. The notable difference from gen 3 to gen 4 is the length of the crossbars. For Gen 4 FasstCo. went to one standard crossbar length. ATV, enduro, moto, and adventure bars will use SHORT CROSSBARS ONLY.

What generation and length crossbar you need:
Gen 2/3:
Long crossbars are 10” long from end to end. Long crossbars are found on our wider Moto bar.
Short crossbars are 9” long from end to end. Short crossbars are found on our narrower Enduro bar and our Adventure bar.
Gen 4:
Short crossbars ONLY.
For Gen 4, FasstCo. went to one standard crossbar length for everything, quad, enduro, moto, and adv bars.
